Ward D2 for chronic pulmonary diseases in preschool and school-age children covers: diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of patients with chronic upper and lower respiratory diseases; differential diagnosis of patients with recurrent bronchial obstructions and uncontrolled asthma; diagnosis and treatment of congenital and acquired respiratory diseases; evaluation and treatment of recurrent pneumonias; diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of bronchiectasis, interstitial lung diseases, primary ciliary dyskinesia and alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency. Diagnostic polysomnography is also performed for evaluation of obstructive sleep apnea and nocturnal hypoventilation in children with chronic pulmonary diseases.
